The Center for Psychological Health.
Compassionate. Collaborative. Comprehensive.
Welcome! We are a multi-disciplinary mental health co-op providing the highest quality care to children, adolescents, and adults. Conveniently located off McFarland Boulevard in Northport, Alabama, we offer comprehensive psychological assessment, psychotherapy, group therapy, parenting support, yoga, and creative expression classes, all under one roof. At the Center, a person will find healing for their mind, body, and spirit, and a family will find support for each family member and the family as a whole.
We provide the highest quality services to meet the needs of the whole person, and help the whole family.
Individual Therapy
Psychotherapy facilitates emotional growth for individuals of all ages. Our therapists are trained in modalities best suited for specific age groups, including play therapy for children, cognitive behavioral therapy for teens, and EMDR and trauma-informed care for adults. Learn more about our psychotherapists here.
Relationship Therapy
Relationship therapy helps people strengthen or clarify their connection by providing a non-judgmental space to experiment with new, healthier ways of communicating. We know that important relationships take many different forms, and are ready to work with traditional and non-traditional family structures and partnerships.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is a great option for people who want to try something new in their self-exploration journey, and can be an addendum to individual therapy or taken stand-alone. We provide groups in trauma, grief, and addiction recovery. Read more about current group offerings here.
Psychological Assessment
We offer comprehensive psychological assessments for children, teenagers, and adults for social and emotional functioning, behavioral problems, attention deficit, learning differences, personality, and mood dysregulation. Learn more about assessments here.
Parenting Support
Parenting support sessions help clients to learn about their child’s diagnosis, develop behavior modification plans, repair family relationships, and prevent problems from occurring in the future. Our lead clinical psychologist can also help parents develop a school support plan for their kid.
Executive Functioning
Executive functioning (EF) describes a set of cognitive skills that helps someone stay managed and organized. Our skilled EF coaches help people who are struggling with organization, time management, task management, and more. Learn more about EF coaching here.
Creative Expression
Creative expression is an awesome way to deepen your connection to self. We hold creative writing and art classes with a "therapeutic twist" to kids, teens, and adults. No experience needed! Learn more about our current offerings here.
Psychoeducation
Our psycho-education classes provide straightforward, effective tools to help you and your loved ones with stress management, living with ADHD, and more. Our classes are taught by our lead psychologist, Dr. Hunt, and other experts in the field. Check out our current offerings here.
